New Life Horizon Initiative joins the rest of the world to commemorate World Labor Day under the theme “Recognizing hard work and dedication that shapes and builds a brighter future for our world”. NELHIN reiterates its commitment to building strong, and resilient lives financially and economically through extra-ordinary mentorship and training on business opportunities. This very day, World Labor Day, is day of honoring all hard workers who wake up early in the morning to exercise their dedication, passion and ambition to uplift their lives. This is why NELHIN steps in to help communities in Nakivale Refugee Camp bear the fruits from hard work, unending ambition and resilience through trainings: thanks to I-UpShift project. Hard work is never in vain: we continue to register life inspiring success stories from our beneficiaries in Nakivale Refugee Camp. The presence of Multipurpose Community Centre has made the livelihood building effort possible, as it houses a high end training apparatus crucial for developing hands on skills. We have successfully skilled more than 1000 youths in different disciplines such as tailoring, hair dressing, computer basics and business management. Moreso, we boast of our support rendered to youth business startups through grants under the I-UpShift project: through this, the youth have reconstructed purpose in their lives.
