Basecamp Multipurpose Community Centre
NELHIN manages the ILO Basecamp Multipurpose Community Center, which is dedicated to transforming lives in the Nakivale Settlement and its neighboring communities. The center addresses gaps in social, educational, and recreational infrastructure, serving as a vibrant hub where refugees and host populations can learn, connect, and thrive together.
Integrated Upshift
The i-Upshift program focuses on empowering 480 young people in Nakivale refugee settlement and its host communities by promoting awareness of economic and livelihood opportunities. This involves innovative community engagement sessions designed to help youth recognize their potential as change agents, understand how social innovations can benefit their communities and provide income, and learn to identify and analyze community issues to apply for i-Upshift bootcamps.

The Rubondo Multipurpose Community Center is a vital support system, dedicated to equipping individuals with the skills and knowledge necessary to enhance their livelihoods.
